About ESSCA Business School

the school of management was found in the year 1909.

The ESSCA School of Management provides business and management education to all who want to expand the horizon of their business around the world.

A member of the prestigious Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, its five-year diploma, Master in Management, has been accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education as a master’s degree.

Three areas of specialization are offered in the fourth year:  marketing, management, and finance.

Located at eight different sites including four campuses approved for non-French-speaking students in Anger, Paris, Budapest.

And Shanghai, ESSCA’s international curriculum can boast of an international partner network of over 279 institutions in more than 55 countries.

1909:The Dean of the law faculty at the Catholic University of the West, Dr. Paul Baugas, founded the Angers Business School. 1938:Founding of the ESSCA alumni network association.

1940:Move to facilities in the rue Merlet de la Boulaye. 1943:The Angers Business School became the Angers School of Management under its current French acronym, ESSCA.

1954:Move to a three-year degree.1967:ESSCA became a non-profit association (law of 1901) and became a founding member of FESIC.

1969:Move to ESSCA’s new campus in the Belle Beille area of Anger.
Move to a four-year degree.

For over 100 years, ESSCA has been renowned amongst the French Grandes Ecoles in Management for the originality and solidity of its project

then in the year 1992, the school receive the First promotion of the Bachelor in International Management (Bachelor ESIAME-Groupe ESSCA).
ESSCA became part of the Management Grandes Ecoles Chapter of the CGE, the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles.

The universities programs

first, the student is going to study in  Aix-en-Provence, Angers, Bordeaux, Lyon, and Paris

the school makes it compulsory that all the students take part in the preparatory undergraduate program, which allows the acquisition of the broad general fundamentals.

These three years are also synonymous with an introduction to higher education during which time students will:

  • the student will learn the management fundamentals
  • the student is going to discover the corporates world through internships, conferences, and s seminars.
  •  benefit from the international world in the third year including a semester of classes in English.

A group of five students prepares a market study for a company over four months, then presents its recommendations to the company.

At this level the student a expected to have a global perspective and career preparation.

An international semester for all students

  • in one of the partner universities

  • on ESSCA’s sites in Budapest or Shanghai

  • in a company for at least four months

An international year

All courses are taught in English to a class of which one-third is composed of international students and extensive experience abroad.

INTERNATIONAL SEMESTER 

At this level, all the future executives are expected to be able to work in an international environment.  weather in their home country or abroad.

International experience is therefore at the heart of ESSCA’s programs at least one international semester is required, starting in the student’s third year. A number of options are available: a corporate internship, an exchange with a partner university, or one of the international semesters organized by ESSCA at Foundation ESSCA in Hungary or on the Shanghai campus.

some students may also partake in the second international semester again in the form of an internship. or an academic exchange during the master’s program.
